An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.
These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.
Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
